Call to Nominate Individuals for the National Fellowship Award

The Purchasing Management Association of Canada, desirous of bestowing recognition upon individuals who have distinguished themselves by the character of their contributions to the supply chain management profession, has established a membership classification known as:
“FELLOW OF THE PURCHASING MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION OF CANADA”.
To such “Fellowship,” the Purchasing Management Association of Canada will admit members who have made outstanding contributions to the supply chain management profession over and above that normally expected from an officer or member and to others who have gained pre-eminence in the business world through the field of supply chain management.
Members may nominate any person who has rendered conspicuous service to the association, enhanced the supply chain management profession through their efforts or has made a creditable contribution of new knowledge to the supply chain management profession.
Admittance to this “Fellowship” will be through the Purchasing Management Association of Canada after recommendation by a member or an Institute.
The Fellowship Award Committee requests nominations and will make recommendations, based on a high selection standard, as to who should receive the honour of “Fellow of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada”.
It is stressed that this award is not necessarily a yearly event.
The membership classification of “Fellow” of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada carries with it no special duties or rights.
A recipient will be entitled to use the initials FPMAC following their name.
Nomination briefs must be complete in every detail and shall include, but not be limited to:
All nominations are to be contained within six (6) pages. No testimonial letters or letters of commendation, pictures, award photos, articles of literature or copies of records are to be included with the brief. Any such material received will be returned to the sender, or discarded and destroyed.

An acknowledgement letter will be sent to confirm receipt of each submission.
NOTE: All nominations not approved will be kept on file for a period of five (5) years.
AWARD PROCEDURE
The award of a Fellowship will be symbolized by a plaque to be presented to the recipient at the PMAC National Conference.
RECOGNIZING DISTINCTION
The “Fellow” of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada symbolizes dedication, balance and achievements in Career, the Purchasing Management Association of Canada and Community.
Each of these areas is described below:
CAREER
Leadership, significant participation or contribution in the development and advancement of the supply chain management profession.
Members bring distinction to the profession through their personal career accomplishments, by their leadership and through significant participation or contribution in the development and advancement of the profession.
e.g. Introduced strategic supply chain management or strategic management practices into your organization; Chair of the National Board of Directors of PMAC or President or Board Chair of a Provincial Institute.
PURCHASING MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION OF CANADA
Leadership, significant participation or contribution to PMAC.
As a member you are expected to support the activities of the Association, the profession or take an interest in the governance of the Association. Participation, leadership or contribution in District, Branch, Zone, Institute or National activities or carrying out a representative role of interest to the Association is within the scope of this category.
e.g. Member of a committee that established a new procedure(s), or strategic plan for the National Association or a Provincial/Territorial Institute.
COMMUNITY
Leadership, significant participation or contribution in the community-at-large.
Community service brings a public recognition to the C.P.P. and the profession. Members distinguish themselves and their profession/designation by their personal leadership, active participation or contribution in the activities of the community.
e.g. Member of a community board of directors, or advisory board of a hospital, college or university.
