Recommended Uniform National Standard for the Accreditation of Supply Chain Management Professionals

Introduction

PMAC has established the Recommended Uniform National Standard for the accreditation of supply chain management professionals. This Recommended Uniform National Standard includes attributes and specifications for admission, professional studies, final examination and practical experience, as well as interpretation guidelines.

Standard

A standard is defined by the International Standardization Organization (ISO) as a documented agreement containing technical specifications or other precise criteria to be used consistently as rules, guidelines or definitions of characteristics to ensure that materials, products, processes and services are fit for their purpose.

The Recommended Uniform National Standard for the accreditation of supply chain management professionals provides assurance that prior to certification, candidates shall demonstrate the proficiencies expected of newly qualified supply chain management professionals.

Outcome

The outcome of consistent application of the Recommended Uniform National Standard will be that the holder of the professional credential will be recognized as the strategic supply chain management professional who provides innovative strategic leadership to enterprises to achieve strategic competitiveness and a sustained competitive advantage.
