Case Competition
Graded Case Competition
Candidates will be asked to present, in a group, their response to a case study to be provided at In-Residence Week. Teams will be assigned at the beginning of the week. Presentations will be judged by an expert panel, who will assign a group mark.
Bursary
Bursary
Starting January 14, 2013, SCMP designation program students who can demonstrate financial need and will be attending IRW 2013 are invited to apply for a $2500 In Residence Week Bursary. Completed applications must be received by March 14, 2013 to be eligible for consideration.
Interested applicants will be required to fill out the application form and provide two letters of reference. The application form requires applicants to write a 500-word essay outlining the degree of financial need and the reason the bursary is deserved. The PMAC Awards Committee is responsible for the application review and selection of the winner and their decision is final. The recipient will be notified on an individual basis and the cheque will be awarded following the completion of In Residence Week, once their attendance is confirmed.
Current members of the PMAC National Board of Directors and/or the PMAC National Awards Committee are not eligible to apply for the Bursary.
Grading
In-Residence Week is a graded component of the SCMP accreditation program, representing 10% of the final program mark.
Candidates will be graded on the group Case Competition (5%). They will also receive a mark for attendance and participation (5%)
throughout In-Residence Week. Candidates will receive a deduction of 1%, per missed session, from their 5% attendance and participation
mark. Candidates who miss more than five sessions will receive a failing grade of 0%.
To pass In-Residence Week, candidates must
achieve a grade of 50% or higher.
Grades will be made available to you by your Provincial or Territorial Institute in the weeks following In-Residence Week.
