The 2012 In-Residence Week has been set for May 14-18, in Toronto, at the campus of Ryerson University, located in the heart of downtown Toronto.

On-site registration opens at 7:30 am on May 14 and the week will officially conclude at 12:00 pm on May 18.

Registration
Typically, candidates register for both In-Residence Week and the Final Examination at the same time. Please register directly with your PMAC Provincial Institute and contact them with any questions. Candidates from Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Northwest Territories only should direct inquiries to the PMAC National office.
Early Registration Deadline (for best rates): March 7, 2012.
Final Registration/Cancellation Deadline: April 20, 2012.
Schedule Information
In-Residence Week begins on Monday, May 14, 2012. Registration opens at 7:30 am. The program concludes on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 12:00 pm.
The program is comprised of a series of daytime and evening sessions. A special Awards evening for the case competition is planned for Thursday, May 17.

Sessions & Faculty
Graded Case Competition
Candidates will be asked to present, in a group, their response to a case study to be provided at In-Residence Week. Teams will be assigned at the beginning of the week. Presentations will be judged by an expert panel, who will assign a group mark.
Additional informational about sessions and faculty will be added as it becomes available.
Grading
In-Residence Week is a graded component of the SCMP accreditation program, representing 10% of the final program mark.
Candidates will be graded on the group Case Competition (5%). They will also receive a mark for attendance and participation (5%) throughout In-Residence Week. Candidates will receive a deduction of 1%, per missed session, from their 5% attendance and participation mark. Candidates who miss more than five sessions will receive a failing grade of 0%.
To pass In-Residence Week, candidates must achieve a grade of 50% or higher.
Grades will be made available to you by your Provincial or Territorial Institute in the weeks following In-Residence Week

PMAC has negotiated discounted travel deals for In-Residence Week attendees with:
WestJet is offering 10% discount off their best available regular fare at the time of booking (excluding web fares and seat sales pricing) to and from Toronto.
The discount is only available by contacting our Group agents via WestJet's Convention line at 1-877-952-4696. Agents are available to book reservations Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm (Mountain Standard Time).

The discounted rates are available for travel up to 3 days prior and 3 days after In-Residence Week.
Accommodations
New this year: In response to feedback from previous In-Residence Week (IRW) participants, 2012 IRW participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodations. PMAC has facilitated this process by negotiating special rates at various properties in the area for our participants (See below). While it is recommended that IRW participants choose one of the pre-selected properties, participants are not required to stay at any of those properties.
Room blocks for each property are limited! Be sure to book your room early to ensure you receive your desired accommodations.
Note: The special IRW rates are only available for a limited time. Please familiarize yourself with the deadlines and cancellation policies of each property – as they may vary.

Cancellation Policy:
All reserved and guaranteed rooms will be held for late arrival. Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to arrival. Cancellations made less than 48 hours will be subject to a fee of one night’s stay plus applicable taxes. Please allow 5 business days for process.
Parking:
Space permitting, parking passes may be purchased upon arrival at the Front Desk. A 24-hour in/out access card will be issued upon check-in and must be returned upon check out. A $30.00 parking deposit is required. Failure of an individual to return the parking access card will result in a loss of the deposit. The 2012 daily rate is $11.50 plus 13% HST.
Accommodation is single occupancy (private rooms) with hotel-style amenities.
All rooms have ensuite bathrooms, a desk and chair, bedside tables, an alarm clock, wardrobe with full-length mirror, desk lamp, TV, individual heating and cooling control and a dresser. A TV lounge and laundry room are available on each floor.

Cancellation Policy
Any reservation which fails to materialize and has not cancelled a minimum of 48 hours prior to arrival will be charged one night's room and tax to the credit card provided or any deposits submitted will be forfeited.
Parking
The Hotel will offer special rate of $10.00 for 24 hours for any of the hotel guests that require parking.

Reserving Your Room
To reserve your room, contact the Reservations Department at 1-800- CHELSEA (1-800-243-5732) within North America. Please identify yourself as being with the Purchasing Management Association of Canada and call prior to April 12th, 2012 in order to qualify for the group rate and ensure availability.
Guaranteed Reservations/No Shows
All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card No-show charges will apply if a guest does not arrive on the date of their reservation or if notice of cancellation is received by the hotel after 4PM on the day of arrival. Attendees should note and retain the cancellation number quoted to them by the reservations agent at the time the cancellation is made.
Parking
- Guests Self-parking - $28 per night plus taxes, unlimited in and out privileges.
- Guests Valet parking - $38 per night plus taxes, unlimited in and out privileges.
