Let the secret out! It’s time to share the benefits of PMAC membership with your peers

Late last year I had spoken about the activities that the Board had identified as priorities for the upcoming year. These priority activities are:

  • Redesigning financial and business model
  • Redefining roles and responsibilities of partnership members
  • Developing additional revenue streams
  • Develop public sector educational offerings
  • Technological delivery of education programs

In support of the first strategic initiative listed above (redesigning the financial and business model) PMAC will conduct a dedicated member retention and recruitment campaign in the months of February and March. This campaign will begin in February and reach out to lapsed members from the past year and bring them back to the organization. While this will largely be an effort by PMAC staff and volunteers, I highly encourage all members to reach out to any lapsed members in their professional networks and remind them of the value of membership in PMAC, Canada’s largest supply chain organization for SCM professionals.

The month of March will see a dedicated member recruitment campaign that focuses on you, the member, leveraging your professional networks to identify and introduce potential members to the value of PMAC. This campaign will be supported by online advertising on trade publications and other industry sites. Other member recruitment tools, in addition to social media activities, will be used and made available to help members with their recruitment efforts. In-person networking events may also be planned across the country to support this drive.

I highly encourage members to participate in this membership drive. Not only does it allow you the opportunity to become directly involved in the process of strengthening the foundation of PMAC and contribute to its growth (which directly benefits members), but it also gives you the chance to highlight the value that you bring to your own organization. The benefits of PMAC membership such as access to world-class educational offerings, access to an internationally recognized professional accreditation, and the opportunity to network with Canada’s top SCM professionals, are all things that potential members would be interested in.

Members are our most effective promotional assets. All PMAC members should take some time this month to reflect on what they value about their membership in PMAC and how it has helped them with their SCM careers. Thank you for your support.
