September 2008
A series of focus groups have been held to gather in-depth member feedback as PMAC considers replacing the C.P.P. with a new designation that is more reflective of our field of practice of strategic supply chain management.
To assist the association’s Designation Change Task Force, three focus groups took place on September 11, 12 and 15. Each focus group consisted of 13-15 members who were C.P.P.s and C.P.P. candidates representing a diversity of views. Two sessions were conducted in English and one in French. They explored issues such as potential names for a new designation, implications for current C.P.P.s and timing of any change.
Further research is also underway with other key stakeholders, including employers and prospective members. The task force will be providing their recommendations to the PMAC National Board of Directors by December 31, 2008.
